While setting up my website tidyheidi.de and this blog tidyheidi.blog I also took care of protecting it via a Secure Sockets Layer.
SSL is „a standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a server and a client.“ (Wikipedia)
It was some kind of a journey for me. Because at first I thought I only had one click to make to order an additional hosting package from my service provider IONOS. To some extent that was the case, but the prerequisite to activate SSL is a certificate. This certificate was provided by another company called digicert. For them I needed to proof that Tidy Heidi really exists by listing it at Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), Google My Business or Data.com. I decided to create a business profile at Google.

After I identified myself respectively Tidy Heidi by phone I finally received the certificate to activate SSL. That was a real short cut from a crazy idea, brand name, logo and slogan to an own – to be honest – currently very blank business profile at Google. Just for the fun of it and a „s“ in „https://“.
And as I was in the flow, I also registered Tidy Heidi as a trade in Munich, the city where I live in with my family.
As clothes might be one of the business fields, I created my first, simple T-Shirt on Spreadshirt.

As I am working in a controlling and accounting department, CALCULATE sounded very conclusive to me.
Now I am wearing the T-Shirt during my working hours and wait for some feedbacks.
I still do not have a business plan or any further concrete ideas how to proceed. But my vision is to build something up that makes me (more) independent from my job.
Because I do not want to work there till I will be officially retired at the age of 67, what is the official retirement age in Germany at the moment.
